The responses keep a smile on my face everyday at Fit Buzz. And the constant reminders from FitBuzzers about what stages they are currently at is a great thing too. NNBB is still the most popular Fit Buzz program to-date. Quite simply, because FitBuzzers love the butt! (See Instagram @fitbuzz) 🙂

So how do you activate your butt muscles to 100% if those aren’t the exercises that will take you there?

 

The core of No Nonsense Butt building consists of exercises that will give you the best results for your efforts, which include…

 

Variations of: The squat, deadlift and lunge (There are now others, especially now that Operation S-Curve is here. But these are the main exercises. All of which work up to 60% of your butt muscles).

 

However, building muscle or changing the way your body looks is more about the mind to muscle relationship. Which basically means how well you can activate your central nervous system in order to send messages to the muscles of your butt.

Why it’s more than just the squat?

 

Well, there are a few reasons…

  • The human body varies so much from one individual to the next in terms of shape, size, and location of various bones, muscles, and tendon attachment points, that there is no one best exercise for everyone. So it’s common logic that different people will experience different results.
  • Conventional squatting activates only 50% of your butt muscles (And that’s only if you perform deep squats, going slightly ‘below’ parallel. If you workout in a public gym, then you know that most people do not deep squat. So knock that down to 35-40%). (FBBA teaches you how to turn that into 60% plus…..)

If you are creating a vertical force ONLY, it will mean that there will be a large area that you are not targeting via exercises that do target the horizontally aligned muscle fibers.
